The Elliminyt Hillside Residence is a 232 m² home set in Elliminyt, in the Colac Otway region of Victoria. The hillside site presented both structural and thermal demands — a build envelope that could handle the wind exposure of an elevated position while delivering high thermal performance across Victoria’s cold-winter climate zone. Panel Haus SIP panels were specified for the full wall and roof system, providing the structural rigidity and thermal continuity the site required.
The 124mm wall and 224mm roof panels deliver thermal resistance values well in excess of minimum NCC requirements for the climate zone. With the full structural envelope completed in 5 days, the builder was able to move directly into lock-up trades without delay — a timeline that would be difficult to achieve with conventional timber framing at this floor area.
